Irish chemical distributor, National Chemical Company (NCC) acquires Norman Lauder

Dublin-based National Chemical Company has acquired Norman Lauder, one of the oldest distributors of raw materials to the Irish food and pharmaceuticals sectors.

“This acquisition reinforces our leading role in the Irish pharmaceutical market and increases our portfolio of products for the food industry,” says NCC CEO Alan Looney. “As such we look forward to supporting our expanded customer base and product range along with the new opportunities that this acquisition will bring to NCC, its customers and suppliers.”

NCC has storage facilities in Dublin, Cork and Belfast in Ireland, and in Rugby in the United Kingdom.

National Chemical Company (NCC) is Ireland's leading independent chemicals and plastics raw materials distributor with a head office in Dublin. The company which was founded in 1969 has an annual turnover of €26 million and a staff of 18. The company has a UK subsidiary Natchemco UK Limited, with an additional 2 staff as well as a 50% interest in a JV plastics manufacturing company, Innovative Polymer Compounds, located in Central Ireland. NCC are also a founding member of the European alliance of independent distributors, PlusChem.
