Dolder Austria merges with A.R.Peißig to form A.R.Peißig - Dolder GmbH

Dolder Austria Ges.m.b.H merged with A.R.Peißig Ges.m.b.H. on the 01.04.2009. The new company’s name is A.R.Peißig–Dolder GmbH and all the members of staff of both companies have transferred to the new entity led by Mr. Werner Peißig, Managing Director.

Strong synergies between the companies and complementary product ranges for the plastic industry were cited as major reasons behind the merger. Dolder Austria is strong in the area of plastic polymers and compounds, whereas A.R.Peißig Ges.m.b.H is more focused on plastic additives and chemical raw materials.

Dolder Ltd is a Swiss-owned, internationally active distributor of raw materials, specialising in the marketing and distribution of chemical and natural raw materials, semi-finished products and additives to manufacturers in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, plastics and rubber.

The company has a turnover of around €100M has been owned by the Dolder family for over 100 years. Key locations for the group are Basel (Switzerland – headquarters), Milan (Italy), Vienna (Austria), Shanghai (China) and Bangalore (India).

A.R.Peißig Ges.m.b.H was formed in 1996 and counts Baerlocher, Cristal-Millenium, Evonik and Reverte amongst its key suppliers. Both companies operate in Austria and Central and South Eastern Europe.
