IMCD buys Italian distributor of speciality food ingredients, Nutrivis

IMCD Group has announced the acquisition of an Italian distributor of speciality food ingredients, Nutrivis srl. The merger of the two companies, planned for May 2012, will see all employees of Milan-based Nutrivis transfer to IMCD Italia.

Nutrivis' broad speciality food ingredients portfolio will significantly enhance IMCD’s current offering to the market. “Nutrivis brings extensive experience in the Italian speciality Food & Ingredients market. The company's impressive portfolio from reputable international suppliers and its 250-strong customer base offer exciting synergistic opportunities to the IMCD Group,” said Gabriele Bonomi, Managing Director IMCD Italia.

Food and Nutrition is one of the focus market segments for the IMCD Group. Its dedicated team of food technologists support customers’ recipe, application and processing requirements in the following market segments: Bakery, Beverages, Confectionery, Dairy, Edible oils and fats, Fruits and vegetables, Nutrition, Savoury, Food ingredient manufacturers and Animal nutrition.
