Brenntag has taken control of Rhodia's chemical distribution operations in Australia, India, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam in a move that substantially extends Brenntag's global distribution network onto the Asia-Pacific market. This gives the company instant access to extensive experience in the Asian Pacific marketplace and is in line with its strategy to provide a platform for future growth as a full-line chemical distributor in the rapidly expanding Asian economies.
"This transaction provides Brenntag with instant access to extensive experience in the Asian Pacific marketplace and a well established network of technical experts throughout the region, combined with deep knowledge of the markets, key contacts and regional cultures," says chief executive Stephen R Clark.
