Biesterfeld Spezialchemie appoint Peter Wilkes as new Managing Director
With effect from May 1st, 2015 Peter Wilkes has been appointed as Managing Director of Biesterfeld Spezialchemie GmbH along side Dr. Nicole Hamelau. He will be responsible for the strategic development of the business as well as the operations of the company and its subsidiaries. Peter Wilkes succeeds Thomas Arnold, who assumed the position of CEO of Biesterfeld AG on April 1st, 2015.

Peter Wilkes (54) holds a degree in economics and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. With previous management positions at companies like Dow Chemicals, Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., and Kolb AG, Peter Wilkes has gained over 25 years of international experience in the increasingly globally oriented specialty chemical industry.
