Contichim International and Quaron Belgium merged to form Stockmeier Chemicals Belux

The Stockmeier Group have acquired 100% of the shares of Quaron Belgium from Quaron Gmbh (a company jointly owned with Overlack AG) and have merged the company with their subsidiary Contichim International to form Stockmeier Chemicals Belux, headquartered in Limal-Wavre. Stockmeier had acquired Contichim International, a specialist supplier of bulk hazardous liquid chemicals, in 2013 as part of its purchase of insolvent distributor Kruse Holdings.

The company operations will be centred on its Haubourdin warehouse, close to the Belgian border, from where it distributes bulk and packaged products to customers across the Benelux region. The 5 hectare premises boasts a tank farm for both organic and inorganic chemicals, warehouses for technical and food products and a fully equiped laboratory. Stockmeier Chemicals Belux also exports to a number of European, African and Middle East countries using nearby European seaports, such as Ghent and Rotterdam.
