Robbert Gorter appointed MD of Krahn Chemie subsidiary, ICH Benelux

Krahn Chemie GmbH have appointed Robbert Gorter as Managing Director of their subsidiary ICH Benelux BV effective from 1st February 2014. Robbert Gorter will join ICH Benelux to continue the ongoing growth of the company in the Benelux market. He succeeds Joost Boon, Managing Director and former owner of ICH, who will leave the company in the middle of this year.

Dr. Rolf Kuropka, Managing Director of the parent company KRAHN CHEMIE GmbH says, “Robbert Gorter has a deep technical and commercial knowledge of the chemical industry and brings a strong combination of leadership skills, team capabilities and experience in the chemical distribution industry to his new role. Working closely with the entire ICH team, he will ensure ICH's continued commitment to its customers and supplying partners.”

Robbert Gorter (47) is a graduate chemical engineer and also holds an MBA from the TiasNimbas / Bradford business school. He has held numerous positions with increasing responsibility within the international chemical industry and has a broad experience in sales and marketing, purchasing and new business development.

Krahn Chemie acquired ICH Benelux BV and its subsidiaries in Germany (Technoplan Farbtechnik GmbH & Co. KG) and Poland (ICH Poland SP. z.o.o) in early 2013. ICH Benelux BV was established in 1979 and is a specialty chemical distributor offering its customers in the Benelux region high quality raw materials and technical services through its modern laboratory capabilities.
