Ravago Chemicals signs agreement to acquire Kemiropa, Turkey
Ravago Chemicals, part of the Ravago Group, has recently signed an agreement to acquire speciality chemicals distributor Kemiropa (Istabnbul, Turkey). Established in 1987, Kemiropa is a leading player in the Turkish market with focus on coatings, construction, life sciences and industrial sectors. With the acquisition of Kemiropa, Ravago Chemicals is further strengthening its existing business in Turkey.

Until the acquisition, Kemiropa had been part of the LEL Group, an alliance of European chemical distributors whose members include C. H. Erbslöh, Lavollée SA, Ricardo Molina S.A.U., Lake Chemicals & Minerals and URAI Spa.
Ravago's strategy has increasingly focused on chemical distribution since buying out JV partner Barentz to acquire 100% of Barentz Ravago Chemical Specialist (BRCS). This move resulted in the formation of Ravago Chemicals in 2014. Besides Kemiropa, Ravago Chemicals has now bought three other specialty chemical distributors in the last 18 months, including Innovia (UK) and TH Hilson (USA) and they became the full owner of leading Spanish chemicals distributor Campi y Jové in May this year.
Ravago Chemicals also recently became a member of the European Association of Chemical Distributors (Fecc).
