<description>The German-based Brenntag Group, the world&#8217;s largest chemical distributor, plans an initial public offering (IPO) within weeks even as many foreign companies pull the plug on issues amid turbulent markets. The company, majority-held by British private equity group BC Partners is believed to be planning a 500 million euro capital increase. Existing shares would also be placed on the Frankfurt stock exchange, but no more details have been forthcoming at this stage.</description>
